Brady Bundch Running a Frenzy in Foxboro

Of all of the criticisms (See: Wilbur, Eric: Boston Globe), hopeful thoughts (See: Wetzel, Dan: YahooSports!, and outright personal “opinions” that came out about Tom Brady and Co. following the loss to the Giants on Sunday night, possibly the most most damaging one came from Brady’s own wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen.

While being heckled by classless New York fans (is there any other kind?), Gisele responded “My husband cannot (expletive) throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times.”

While the team hasn’t had anyone respond to the leaked comments, just this morning ESPN’s Adam Schefter tweeted “Brandon Jacobs to reporters on Tom Brady’s wife, Gisele Bundchen: ‘She just needs to continue to stay cute and shut up.'”

Maybe it’s the cultural divide between South American and North American life. Maybe it’s the divide between rich people getting richer and having no care in the world for anyone else. Maybe Tom Brady really is the pretty boy everyone says he is and hence married a dominant wife.

The world may never know.

But in the end, Gisele’s comments can’t possibly go over well with Patriots players. They could certainly blow it off as a heated moment or a fleeting comment from the wife of their QB who is simply giving her own opinion.

Is it possible this is a common subject in the Brady/Bundchen house? Certainly didn’t sound like she was uttering some new philosophical statement. Maybe the B&B house is full of comments about a lack-luster surrounding cast to the aging Brady.

Even Michael Jordan needed to add stars around him in his later seasons.

At least Chad Ochocinco seemingly didn’t take offense too it, though we’re not quite sure if he is actually on the team or not anyway. @Ochocinco tweeted “Mrs. Giselle Bundchen and some black guy” adorned with this beautiful mug:

I think Ms. Bundchen was really off mark this time. You do have a point though that even Michael Jordan needed excellent teammates to win consecutive championships.

  2. [...] 1) If I can make it here: The last time a U.S. President’s popularity reached 90% George W. Bush stood in the post 9-11 rubble with bullhorn firmly in hand. That was probably the last time anyone ever sampled Manhattan as American soil. New York is no more an All-American city as it is any town U.S.A. or a town for that matter. Ancestral soul mates can wander below 96th Street for lifetimes and never share the same checkout line, subway platform, or rain check from their local Apple stores. This is a locality that trades in stocks, not flocks. Will Tebow’s charisma continue to attract the ardent following that he did in Denver? Is anyone even in the position of posing as a charisma transition authority here? This potential impasse makes the tug between Tom Brady’s allegiance to Giselle Bundchen of Hollywood and the townies of greater New England look like a resolvable quandary. [...]
