Payton had the guts and the courage to make the tough calls - the same Belichick does. What stands out to me is the Saints offense reminded me of how the Pats used to be - spread the ball around, the top receiver is the open one. Use all receivers, tight ends, backs in a passing attack that can't be defended because of all the weapons. Also, last year, the Saints were 8-8. Payton realizes the problem, goes out and hires a top notch defensive coordinator, and now they are SB champs. The Pats on the other hand, after a poor showing all season on offense and defense in 2009, will go into 2010 with no coordinators.
