Casting Pods and the “Checking Facebook Statuses Game”

Well Boston fans… it seems as if we are stuck listening to the #27 take on new meaning this long winter. The Yankees took the 2009 World Series in 6 games despite the ill-will being dumped on them from either side (Philly and Boston). Let’s take a minute to play the “CHECKING FACEBOOK STATUSES GAME” this morning (and make sure to check out the podcast below!):

Z.N.: “I’m turning this garbage off. The only thing worse than reading about a Yankee win tomorrow, is watching the faces of Yankee fans as they celebrate another worthless championship.”

M.B.: “congratulations to the Yankees on buying another world series. f*ck ‘em.”

M.S.: “F the Yankees. g rrr”

D.B.: “Sue me. I don’t care that it’s the Yankees. I enjoy watching teams win when they are on the top of the game. Seeing them celebrate the ultimate achievement in their respective sport. Kudos, Yankees. (you still suck)”

A.E.: “hate the yankees…but congratulations to my yankee fan friends”

G.F.Y.: “BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

J.V.: “nice to see all the diehard yankee fans coming out of the woodwork just in time…”

J.K.: “not really too upset about the yankees. more so all these “fans” that are suddenly celebrating… ahh the late 90’s kind of fans are back. bout time to bring back the hatred to this rivalry, nothing like ignorant fans to make you hate a team”

D.M.: “What is worse than the Yankees winning the world series? Being in New York when they did it. Not a fan, not a fan at all…”

A.D.: “New Home, Same Destiny!!!!” (Editor: How the hell did that get in there?! DELETE FRIEND)

D.R.: “Going to Game 6 of the World Series……$300 Stadium Food and Beer…… $85 Yankees Winning the 27th Championship and Going Home to a Beautiful Girlfriend …… Priceless!!! The day is already great! Go Yankees!” (Editor: HEY WAIT A SECOND!)

L.N.: “New York, concrete jungle where dreams are made of There’s nothin’ you can’t do Now you’re in New York These streets will make you feel brand new Big lights will inspire you Let’s hear it for New York, New York, New York…….THINGS ARE BACK TO NORMAL IN THE BASEBALL WORLD ♥” (Editor: WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!?!)

Here come’s some sanity:

J.P.: “eh….the yankees still suck…..”

M.C.: “Anyone else want to go to a 3rd World Country, score ourselves some ‘Phillys 2009 World Series Champs’ shirts and hats? While there we can pick up a ‘19-0 Pats’ Shirt and DVD….too soon?”

C.W.: “rose ring, 101 years old and a native of the bronx looked me in the eye tuesday and said “the best man always wins doesn’t he?” when i asked her if the yankees were gonna win the world series…congratulations new york and joe girardi…you deserved this one ”

I.E.: “It’s just a bit ironic that WS Game 6 hero Hidecki Matsui has been the object of trade discussions during this series and will most probably be shipped out of NY before they ever recieve their rings…merry Christmas mr Steinbrenner! U d*ck!”

M.H.: “My husband said to me last night, ‘This just proves what we already knew. It’s football season.’”
