Sunday Morning 4Play – 10/25

Good Sunday morning and welcome to the first installment of 4SB’s “Sunday Morning 4Play”!

I wanted to take the opportunity to use the quietness of the weekend to talk with readers and provide some idea of what is going on with the website and any small things that you might be missing out on in regards to the “4SB Experience”.

  1. I want to thank all of the readers. We have certainly taken an interest in the market as the actual 4 sports have all taken off and had activity of late. Our visitor count is up 75% from last month and (obviously) we couldn’t do it without you.413498218v1_480x480_Back
  2. If you aren’t already, take advantage of our in depth coverage on our Facebook Page. We update throughout the day everyday with articles from the major news locations regarding your Boston sports teams. You can also catch up on the FB updates in the toolbar at the bottom of the page here. Same with Twitter but our updates are linked so Twitter goes to FB and FB goes to Twitter! We have over 300 fans on FB and 140 followers on Twitter so join now and keep up. This is also where most of our fan interaction and contests happen. Just yesterday David K. won himself an item from our 4SB Online Shop! And this week, we will be giving away a shirt from our friends over at SupahFans.com so make sure you are our fan on Facebook! And don’t forget to Subscribe to our weekly podcast on iTunes!
  3. I personally have taken on a lot of help here on the site as you may have noticed. In an effort to keep content new, fresh, and from coming out of my fingertips all day, every day, we have gotten some amazing people involved. You can meet all of the 4SB staff over on the Contacts page. I want to thank those guys and hopefully you guys love them and their work too.
  4.  Ok, we will talk about sports here before we leave because that is the point of the site. Today’s Pats game should be a win (favored by 14.5 points), which would be a great way to head into the bye week but it will be interesting to watch the way the fans in London react throughout the game, I better not see a “golf clap”. Also, the Celtics get underway this week, tipping off on Tuesday in Cleveland against the Cleveland LebronoShaqs. Personally, I am PUMPED for this season, it is gearing up to be a good one. As for the Bruins, even with their injury proned stars, they are still grinding out wins going 2-1 this past week and the loss was in a shoot out. So it seems that after several weeks of questioning the Pats and the defense and offense and now injuries plaguing both them and Bruins, things seem to be working themselves out nicely again in Boston. All we need now is for the Sox to resign JayBay!

BAYMANSo thanks for checking out the site, I hope you enjoy it and as always feel free to comment or email us with feedback. Anything you can advise us as to how to better the site is a huge help and will help to keep 4SB one of the top Boston sports blogs on the web.

Check out our top posts from the past week!
